Update: I have noted over time that the views counter on youtube has issues. I have seen it climb to about 4,000, then drop 1,000 or so, and climb again, only to fall back again. I sent a notice to youtube about the obvious defect, and a few days later, it seemed to have been fixed. Counts increased, and did not fall back. Then today, it went from 7.1K down to 6.7K. So perhaps the fix has been fixed. A shame, as it would be a useful indicator, if it worked.
